Emielke is one of Cape Town's most committed and enthusiastic photographers. Her style is understated and simple, but her work ethic is dedicated and professional.

Emielke started her career by studying a BA Fine Arts (Information Design) Degree at the University of Pretoria. Always having a passion for photography, she then also completed a Diploma at the National College of Photography and did an internship with The Pretoria News. Press photography taught her to be an unobtrusive observer, anticipating what is coming next.

Since June 2003, Emielke has been working in the commercial photography industry but enjoys shooting weddings on the side. She is not a traditional wedding photographer but rather a documenting eye.

Emielke has a wonderful spontaneous personality giving her the perfect credentials to work with people.
